Chestnut Grove, Benfleet

White rendered walls help to hide the fence and create a raised planter around the garden perimeter. The planter is brushed stainless steel housing a mirror ball. Oak sleepers and gravel help to contrast the steel. The lawn is artificial grass with stainless steel edges. The water blade adds the finishing touch.

The design divided the garden into different sections, inter-connected with gravel pathways inviting exploration and creating vistas. The pond was designed with wildlife in mind, the stepping stone path brought you closer to it.

Moulsham Street, Chelmsford (a)

An in-out driveway created by use of a curved brick retaining wall which also helped with the reduction in the slope. Tumbled block paviers were laid following the wall to help highlight the drive-through look.

Moulsham Street, Chelmsford (b)

A stunning Victorian house on Moulsham Street, Chelmsford, needed parking for three cars. Bricks were matched to the house and black limestone finished the job. Over one hundred tons of soil was removed in the creation of this drive.

New London Road, Chelmsford

A tiered garden designed from a single centre point, helping in the presentation of the garden from the house. The box hedging and the brick on edge capped walls really helped in defining the shapes. The pergola not only created useful growing space but also helped to balance the raised beds with the house.

Roof top garden, London

With this roof top garden, weight was the key issue. The hardwood raised planters were half filled with polystyrene for this reason. The hardwood deck, astroturf lawns created modern spaces that required zero maintenance 200ft in the sky.

The Barns, Burstead

A newly converted barn and a client passionate about plants. Vegetation, bricks and gravel go a long way in creating this symmetry based design. The knot garden design was the client’s own, based around the age of the barn.

We are currently experiencing an excellent spread of colour. The pond is also a delight with plenty of wildlife.
